The Right to the City opens this week! The exhibition and publication (see above) will launch on Thursday April 7th, 6pm, at Tin Sheds Gallery, 148 City Rd, University of Sydney. Special guest speaker will be Mimi Zieger a blogger, DIY Urbanist and writer from New York.
The Keynote lecture with Margaret Crawford is on Friday, 8th April, 6.30pm, at the New Law School Lecture Theatre 101, University of Sydney (not the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Planning as previously advertised).
Registrations are filling up for the symposium. For those coming along some things to note:
- Lunch will be provided by Bababa International and afternoon tea by Iku Wholefoods and Knock Knock Organics.
- You’ll need to bring your own cup and spoon to enjoy the food, tea and coffee we’ll provide (and you’ll need to wash them yourselves)
- The event will start with an acknowledgment of country by the director of the Koori Centre, Janet Mooney – please show respect by being on time
- The event will end with “open space” – a time for actions and future plans
If you would like to register email email@example.com.
See you soon!
